I made this back in February for my post-production class—it took me four months (and a bit of courage) to finally share it.

From the moment I picked up a camera—whether a phone, an iPad, or something more professional—I was hooked. This mash-up reflects that journey, from the childhood aspirations of a YouTube creator to a lifelong pursuit of storytelling through film.

In 2014, YouTube’s golden age, anything felt possible, and the online culture reflected that. However, I wasn’t chasing fame or viral success—I was creating simply because I enjoyed it. Over time, my passion evolved, and while the industry revolves around algorithms and metrics, I remind myself that at its core, filmmaking is about expression, connection, and joy.

This piece blends nostalgia with introspection, using old footage, digital artifacts, and contemporary visuals to explore how passion transforms over time. It’s a love letter to the enthusiasm of youth and a reminder to never lose sight of why I started.

Will I regret re-exposing this part of myself? Maybe. But storytelling isn’t about playing it safe—It’s about being honest and vulnerable.
